PURPOSE: To provide a paint composition containing a specific fluorine- containing copolymer and a partial hydrolytic condensate of an alkoxysilane or a metal alkoxide at a specific ratio and giving a coating film having excellent weather resistance, scratch resistance, flexural resistance, hardness and acid resistance.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition contains (A) 100 pts.wt. of a fluorine- containing copolymer having a hydroxyl value of 45-110mgKOH/g, an acid value of 5-12mgKOH/g and a number-average molecular weight of preferably 3,000-10,000 (measured by GPC in terms of PS) and (B) 5-200 pts.wt. (preferably 10-100 pts.wt.) of a partial hydrolytic condensate of an alkoxysilane (e.g. tetraalkoxysilane) or a metal alkoxide (e.g Ti, Zr or Al alkoxide).
