PURPOSE: To enable the increase in the space and cost of equipment to be prevented by providing a traveling carriage with functions such as the removal and supply as well as custody of separate sheets.

CONSTITUTION: A traveling carriage 1 is moved to a position adjacent to a work station WS where the loading or unloading of goods are carried out and a pallet station PS, and the goods to be loaded or those to be unloaded are held by the holding device 22 of a robot type transfer device 21 on the traveling carriage 1. By the transfer device 21, goods to be loaded are transferred from the station WS onto the pallet P of the station PS, or goods to be unloaded are transferred from the pallet P of the station PS to the station WS. In the same manner, a separate sheet S is held by the holding device 22 of the transfer device 21, and it is transferred from a sheet loading part SS on the traveling carriage 1 onto the goods loaded on the pallet P of the station PS, or the sheet S is transferred from the goods on the pallet P of the station PS to the sheet storage part SS.
