Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel mounting structure designed to enable a mounting bolt to be inserted into and removed from a mounting groove in a furring strip from a certain position and to avoid unnecessary rotation of the mounting bolt.
SOLUTION: A panel 2 is attached to a furring strip 1 by inserting the head 31 of a mounting bolt 3 into a mounting groove 12 in the furring strip 1 from opening edges 11 through an oblong hole 21 in the panel 2 abutting to the furring strip 1, then rotating the mounting bolt 3 by almost 90 degrees to lock the same to the opening edges 11, and tightening a nut 5. The mounting bolt 3 has an almost square locking step 33 formed at the root of its thread 32 and has its head 31 curved into an arch shape toward the thread 32, and, with the head 31 of the mounting bolt 3 inserted in the mounting groove 12 and rotated by almost 90 degrees, the locking step 33 is positioned between the opening edges 11 to prevent rotation of the mounting bolt 3; also, the curved head 31 is elastically deformed by tightening of the nut 5 and is pressed against and locked to the inner surfaces of the opening edges 11.
