This chair 1 has armrests 5 and 6, and a tablet 29 which is attached on the armrests 5 and 6 rotatable in the range between the horizontal position when the tablet is used and the vertical position when the tablet is brought up. The tablet is further rotatable when it is in the vertical condition from the vertical position mentioned above when it is brought up to the vertical position when it is brought down and perpendicular to the bottom of the armrest. The tablet 29 is supported rotatable around a horizontal shaft parallel to the vertical center plane of the chair when the tablet is brought down and at the vertical position perpendicular to the bottom of the amrest, so that the tablet can be moved to such a slanting position that allows a number of chairs of the same type to be piled up on each other.
