PURPOSE: To prevent sheets of paper from falling off of a receiving part by forming the captioned device with a paper discharge part for sheets of paper, a paper receiving part for placing said sheets of paper, and a loading member for increasing frictional force between each of placed sheets of paper, and increasing frictional force by the pressure contact of said loading member.

CONSTITUTION: Documents D which pass through between paper discharge rollers 518, 519 press down the end of a link 520 and, thereby, the link 520 is rotated centering around a pin 521, moving connected links 522 and 523 in positions shown by broken lines. The end of the link 523 is brought into contact with the face of an exposure glass 108 at the moved position, pressing the rear end of already discharged documents D. Accordingly, by increasing frictional force by the pressure contact of the end part 523a of the link 523 with the rear end of the document D, the previously discharged documents D are sent out due to the frictional force with documents D which are discharged later, thereby, preventing the documents from falling off of the exposure glass 108.
