PURPOSE: To prevent any paper jam from occurring at the time of delivering a flow of loading sheets through a paper feeder.
CONSTITUTION: This paper feeder is provided with a pressurizing means 25 pressing the front end side of a sheet S in a delivery direction A and a pressing means 22 pressing the rear end side on a device body 13 of a paper feeder. This pressing means 22 connects each arm 22a to an upper end of an opposed support member 21 free of rotation, and a roller 22c is installed free of rotation in space between both ends of these arms 22a. In addition, a coil spring is attached to the arm 22a, and the pressing means 22 is energized to a presser position pressing the loading sheet S by this coil spring 23 when this pressing means 22 goes beyond a neutral position (shown by a two-clot chain line) and exists at one side nearer to a conveyor belt 14, but when it exists at the other side nearer to a storage cover 24 as shown in a clashed line, it is energized to a retreat position. When a curled sheet S is delivered, by way of example, after this sheet S is loaded, the pressing means 22 is set to the pressing position, and then this sheet is straightened out with pressing force of the coil spring 23.
