PURPOSE: To prevent double feed paper, so as to attempt the stability of conveyance by providing a torque limiter for moving a separating member in the opposite direction to the recording paper conveying direction when a plurality of recording papers are separated from each other by the separating member, and making the conveying member to follow the separating member in moving in the opposite direction.
CONSTITUTION: A recording paper P is raised, and it is brought in contact with paper feeding rollers 210, 211, thereby a frame body 2002 rotatably provided is raised. A protrusion partially provided on the frame body 2002 is advanced to a detecting sensor S3, and a driving motor is stopped by a control part C, and the topmost part of the recording papers P is stopped in the paper feeding position. When a copying starting button is pushed, a plurality of recording papers P are simultaneously fed between a separating conveying member 209 and a separating member 208. The separating member 208 is reversely rotated at the rotational ratio of the linear speed of 25 to 75% to the linear speed of the paper feeding speed by a torque rotated at the rotational ratio of the linear speed papers P except the topmost paper into the complete separated state. The separating conveying member 209 is in the free state and also reversely rotated. Next, only the topmost recording paper P is conveyed, and the image is recorded thereon.
