Title:
PAPER HAVING DISCRIMINATION POWER OF ITSELF AND OTHERS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3451032
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain paper having a discrimination power of itself and others, capable of allowing itself and others to be discriminated by an iodine-starch reaction, and effective in a field of a printed paper for preventing counterfeit by allowing the paper to include a waterproof particulate composite of starch in the paper.
SOLUTION: Composite particulates of starch obtained by granulating starch grains with an anionic binder or a cationic binder, and coating the product with a counter-ionic cationic or anionic material, and having 50-500 μm particle diameters and waterproof properties are colored by using a pigment solution soluble in an organic solvent into the hue in the degree not reproduced by a color copy machine. The obtained composite particulates of the starch is added into a paper stock, and subjected to papermaking to provide the objective paper. The paper contains no (modified) starch without the composite particulate bodies of the starch, and has a discrimination power of itself and others by an iodine-starch reaction by dropping an aqueous solution containing iodine on the paper or dipping the paper into the aqueous solution.
