PURPOSE: To efficiently join sheets of paper together by sticking an adhesive tape along butt edges of sheets of paper arranged on the slider guide hole of a presser plate with a simple work pressing in succession the adhesive tape suspended across a fixed cutter and a movable cutter from one cutter edge to the other edge.

CONSTITUTION: A paper presser plate 1 is mounted on butt edges of sheets of paper 30, and the paper butt edges are arranged on the slider guide hole 5 of this presser plate 1. Next, the end section of an adhesive tape 31 is stuck to the upper surface of a slider 10, the tape 31 is drawn out in the fixed cutter 8 direction along the sider guide hole 5 and is cut with a size cutting cutter 9, and the cut end section is stuck and suspended across the cutter 9 and the fixed cutter 8. Next, the end section of the adhesive tape 31 is pressed with a finger tip, and after the adhesive tape 31 is cut, the adhesive tape 31 is pressed in succession from one cutter end to the other end, thus the adhesive tape 31 is stuck along the butt edges of sheets of paper 30.
