PURPOSE: To reduce an installation floor area of the captioned device and thereby enable a paper sheet to be inserted into the device and taken out therefrom on the side of a user by detachably providing a tray on a discharge port, the tray serving to invert the paper sheet-conveying-direction and return the paper sheet to the vicinity of an insertion port.

CONSTITUTION: An insertion port 3 and a discharge port 4 for paper sheet such as a document or a recording paper sheet used in a facsimile device, a copying machine and the like are provided on the top surface of these devices. A tray 6 is detachably mounted on said device. The tray has a convex part 6a adapted to fit in a groove 4a provided on a discharge port of the device. A bend part is provided on the tray 6, which serves to allow the discharged a paper sheet to invert it travelling direction and return in the direction to the insertion port 3, and the paper sheet is guided along a rail 7b on the inside surface of the bend part. When plural sheets of paper are desired to be taken out in a stacked state, a tray 5 not bent may be employed instead of said bent tray.
