Title:
PAPER FOR THERMAL SCREEN PRINTING ORIGINAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03240596
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform perforation with high sensitivity and to perform sharp and uniform printing in both of character printing and solid printing even by low viscosity ink by using a biaxially stretched film composed of a thermoplastic resin and laminating a porous layer having a specific peak pore size to the film.

CONSTITUTION: A laminated film is formed by providing a porous layer to the single surface of a film for thermal screen printing original paper being a biaxially stretched film composed of a thermoplastic resin and the porous layer has a layered structure having a large number of gaps therein or on the surface thereof. The peak pore size in the pore size distribution curve of the pores of the porous layer is 0.06 - 10μm. By this constitution, sharp plate making or printing becomes possible in both of character printing and solid printing and plate making and printing free from thickness irregularity and density irregularity can be performed and perforation sensitivity is markedly enhanced.
