To provide particles for display media, of which the reduction in fluidity can be sufficiently suppressed during repeated movement of the particles, and an information display device capable of suppressing degradation of display performance when repeatedly used.
The particles for display media are used as a display medium of an information display device where the display medium is enclosed between two substrates, at least one of which is transparent, and the display medium is moved to display information. The particles for display media are obtained by depositing an external additive comprising silica particles of which the surfaces have been subjected to hydrophobing treatment, on surfaces of particle bodies, and the silica particles vary in density by 1.3 times or less in a prescribed dynamic damage test and have a primary particle size of 30 nm or more. The information display device uses the particles for display media.
