Abstract:
PURPOSE: To apply arbitrary texture by a method wherein a decorative sheet and a shaping sheet whose shaping surface is turned toward the surface of the decorative sheet are superposed on a base material when a patterned molded product is produced by a vacuum press method and subjected to hot pressure forming to closely bond both sheets to the base material and subsequently peeling the shaping sheet.
CONSTITUTION: An adhesive such as a polyvinyl acetate type adhesive is applied to the surface of a base material composed of a wooden material depending on the use of a molded product and the coated base material is arranged to a molding apparatus. Subsequently, a decorative sheet composed of polyvinyl chloride is superposed on the base material and a shaping sheet composed of silicone rubber is further superposed thereon so that the shaping surface thereof is turned toward the surface of the decorative sheet. The whole is subjected to hot pressure forming to deform the both sheets into the same shape as the base material to closely bond them to the base material. Then, the shaping sheet is peeled off.
