PURPOSE: To enable peak detection with virtually the highest exactness and reliability by displaying a measured output on a CRT with the abscissa taken as an independent variable, displaying the ordinate cursor of the same length as the ordinate on the CRT, making the cursor movable to the right and left by the manual input operation to a control device and further displaying the vertical and horizontal coordinates at the intersected point of the cursor and the measured output curve on the CRT by the operation of the control device.
CONSTITUTION: A measured spectrum is displayed on a CRT. A CPU displays vertical and horizontal coordinates and an ordinate cursor on the CRT. The cursor overlaps on the ordinate and the image screen of the CRT is as shown in the figure A. When the operator pushes a key R for moving the cursor to the right and left on an operator's console 4, the cursor moves to the right by as mush as each one address of a memory 3 in a specified period during the time when the key is pushed, and the display of the CRT is as shown in the figure B. The CPU reads the data from the address of the memory 3 corresponding to the position where the cursor C is stopped, displays the data to a numeric display, converts the display of ABS... and the address thereof in wavelength numbers and shows the display of W.L...nm on the CRT.
