PURPOSE: To make a perfect printing control system under each stacking system common and make possible the efficient development of a perfect printing control program relative to each stacking system by setting a modification flag value corresponding to the stacking system of a printing and initializing and updating after printing, the value of each pointer for page information position indication using a common system for the stacking systems.

CONSTITUTION: Processing S1 sets a modification flag value corresponding to each stacking system, and processing S2 initializes the value of each pointer for page information position indication using a common system for stacking systems and at the same time, modifies the initialized point value using an appropriate modified flag value for the stacking system. Processing S3 prints the contents of a printing page indicated by a pointer which indicates an existing page information position on a cutform to be fed at a specified sequence corresponding to the number of passes. Processing S4 updates said pointer value using a common updating system for each stacking system and at the same time, modifies the initialized pointer value to an updated pointer value using its modified flag value corresponding to the stacking system.
