To analyze behaviors of a peripheral vehicle and one's own vehicle which are equipped with no measurement instrument.
An own vehicle and peripheral vehicle moving status estimation device 100 is connected to own vehicle traveling status observation equipment 200 and a video camera 302 mounted on the own vehicle. Own vehicle moving status estimation processing 106 estimates the moving status of the own vehicle based on the traveling status of the self-vehicle observed by the own vehicle traveling status observation equipment 200 and a status transition equation and an observation equation concerning the moving status of the own vehicle. Peripheral vehicle relative location estimation processing 108 estimates the relative moving status of a peripheral vehicle based on the coordinates of a peripheral vehicle in an image photographed by the video camera 302 and the status transition equation and the observation equation concerning the relative moving status of the peripheral vehicle to the own vehicle. Coordinate conversion processing 110 acquires a moving status in the world coordinate system of the peripheral vehicle based on the measurement result of the own vehicle moving status estimation processing 106 and the estimation result of the peripheral vehicle relative location estimation processing 108.
