Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the characteristics, e.g., coercive force or the like of a perma- nent magnet material by containing a predetermined amount of tungsten in the finely pulverized powder of R-Co permanent magnet alloy.

CONSTITUTION: 0.01W0.05wt% of tungsten is contained in the finely pulverized powder of R-Co permanent magnet alloy, where R represents rare earth elements. The rare earth elements include, for example, Sm, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, etc. The R-Co permanent magnet alloy preferably contains 23W42wt% of Sm, 3W15wt% of Cu, 3W15wt% of Fe, 0.01W3wt% of one or more elements selected from the group consisting of T, Zr, Hf, Nb, V, Mn, Mo and Ta, and the residue of Co.
