When a top board 2 of a box-shaped desk is drawn apart and opened by sliding, another central top board 1 is raised from the inside by an associated elevating device, and the housed personal computer 21 appears. A dowel form stopper 19 protrudes and engages with the central top board 1, and the vertical movement of the central top board 1 is fixed. A groove engraving on the side surface of a top board 3 works also as a guide rail for the top board 2. A power source receptacle is provided in the desk, and the personal computer is always connected with the receptacle, so that the personal computer is used immediately, when its switch is turned on. The storage is completed in such a manner that the stopper 19 is pushed in, the central top board 1 is lowered, and top board 2 is closed in association therewith.
