Abstract:

To provide a pharmaceutical use of a polypeptide that can be mass produced at low cost and has angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 activity.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition that contains a prokaryotic microorganism-derived polypeptide having angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 activity, the polypeptide having a specific amino acid sequence at its active site, or a derivative thereof as an active ingredient, the pharmaceutical composition used for treating or preventing high blood pressure, heart failure, cardiac tissue fibrosis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, acute lung injury or the like.SELECTED DRAWING: None
