Abstract:

To provide a method for determining appropriate therapeutic procedure and/or prognosis for a patient diagnosed to be affected by a neurological disease, and to provide a method for identifying human subjects for placement in clinical drug trials of drugs being tested for the treatment of the neurological disease.

The method of determining the prognosis plan for a patient diagnosed with a nervous system disease includes: (a) a step of identifying a patient already diagnosed to be affected by the disease; (b) a step of determining the apoE allele load of the patient; and (c) a step of converting the data obtained in the step (b) into a prognosis plan, wherein the prognosis plan predicts the effects of a drug and the result of the patient.
