Abstract:
Procedure to prepare phenoxyalkylamides, of formulas: **(See formula)** wherein R1 is methyl or ethyl; R1 and R3 are independently hydrogen or methyl; and when R3 is hydrogen, n is 1 or 2; and when R3 is methyl, n is 2; characterized in that it comprises the steps of (a) reacting a phenol of the formula: **(See formula)** where n is defined as above, with an acid of the formula: **(See formula)** wherein R1 is defined as above, in the presence of sodium hydroxide, to form an acid of the formula: **(See formula)** where R1 and n are defined as above; (3) reacting the product of step (a) with phosgene, in the presence of dimethylformamide, to form an acid chloride of the formula: **(See formula)** where R1 and n are defined as above; and (c) reacting the product of step (b) with an acetylenic amine of formula: **(See formula)** wherein R2 and R3 are defined as above, in the presence of triethylamine.
