NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (R1 is aryl, aralkyl or pyridyl: R2 is H or halogen; R3 is amino, alkylamino, acylamino or nitro; R4 is lower alkylene; A is O, S, sulfinyl, sulfonyl or imino), its derivative at the carboxyl group, or their salt.
EXAMPLE: 2-[2-Amino-3-(2-chlorophenoxy)penyl]acetic acid.
USE: Antiphlogistic, antipyretic, analgesic agent.
PROCESS: An objective compound III is prepared by reacting a compound II (X is halogen) with a compound of R1-A-H. Reduction of the compound III gives another objective compound wherein NO2 group. A third objective compound V (R1' is aryl, etc.) (intramolecular amide derivative) is prepared by reacting a compound IV with a compound of R11-S-R4-COOR12 (R11 is alkyl; R12 is H or alkyl), and reducing the reaction product.
