Abstract:
To solve such a problem as it is difficult to fully automate the whole process of product shipping because the work of packing cushioning material that prevents damage during product transportation is hard to be automated due to its complexity while conventionally product picking, box packing, and shipping slip attachment and such have been automated for product shipment work at manufacturing factories and distribution centers.SOLUTION: Cushioning material conventionally used for product packing work is corrugated cardboard, styrene foam, air bubble cushioning material and such, which are attached to a product and then boxed. These work is hard to be automated, so after putting a product in a box, gelatinous or foam-like resin is injected into the space around the product and at the same time, is irradiated with light such as ultraviolet (resin with property that is solidified after irradiated with light such as ultraviolet is used). Then, the soft resin spreads in the space in the box and functions as cushioning material. This way allows industrial robots to handle, solving the problem of automating the whole process of product shipment work.SELECTED DRAWING: None
