Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for photochemically producing a halogen compd by which byproducts are sufficiently avoided as much as possible and the desired product is produced in high yield.

CONSTITUTION: In this preparation method of a compd. expressed by the formula R-(C2R4')n-X0 [R is unhalogenated or partially or totally halogenated alkyl; R' is H, F, Cl, Br or substd. or unsubstd. alkyl or aryl; n is an integer of 2-10; X is Br or I] by telomerization of an alkyl halide R-X and olefin C2R4' as a monomer, a reaction mixture contg. the olefin and the alkyl halide is prepared, and the reaction mixture is irradiated with UV ray having wavelength of 230-350 nm, to obtain a final product from the reaction mixture.
