Abstract:
To enable reflection of incident light to be reduced in accordance with an image height position.SOLUTION: A light detection device comprises a pixel array unit configured by arraying in a two-dimensional array shape pixels each including a refractive index change layer including in the same layer at least two regions of a first region including a first substance and a second region including a second substance and a photoelectric conversion section performing photoelectric conversion on light which is incident through the refractive index change layer. The light detection device is configured in such a manner that an effective refractive index of the refractive index change layer differs in accordance with an image height position of a pixel, and the light detection device is applicable to e.g., a solid-state imaging apparatus and a light-receiving device of a range finding system, etc.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
