Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a photoelectric conversion element to be enhanced in resolution and lessened in size. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive layer 3 sandwiched between a first electrode 2 and a second electrode 4 is provided onto an insulating substrate 1, and an insulating layer 5 is formed so as to cover them. A third electrode 7 is formed on the upside of the insulating layer 5 and connected to the second electrode 4 through the intermediary of an insulating layer 4. The end face of this photoelectric conversion element, facing vertical to the direction in which films that form the electroconductive layer 3 are deposited, is made to serve as a photodetective face 8.
