Title:
PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6335060
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce width of a photoelectric converter, which has been seen from its operating surface side, and to make its device small in size, by installing a photoelectric converting element and an IC onto a plate of a substrate, and installing a printed circuit board to the side face. CONSTITUTION:On one plane on a substrate 13, a photoelectric converting element 2, and an IC 11 on both its sides are arranged zigzag. They are brought to wire bonding to each other with a wire 15 such as an aluminum wire, or a gold wire, etc. On the other hand, a printed circuit board 12 is stuck to both side faces for making a right angle with the plane of the substrate 13, respectively, and connected to the IC 11 by wire bonding to each other in the same way. In this way, irrespective of a size of the printed circuit board 12, width W1 of the whole photoelectric converter is put roughly within a range which has combined the widths of the photoelectric converting element 2 and the IC 11, and an extremely compact device can be obtained.
