PURPOSE: To prepare such a photopolymerizable printing plate that has a single layer of a photosensitive coating film comprising a combination of photopolymerizable compds., that is non-adhesive and has scratching resistance and that is stable before exposure, by incorporating a photopolymerizable pigment dispersion material and a photosensitive diazonium region for planographic printing.
CONSTITUTION: A pigment compsn. is prepared by preliminarily and substantially coating pigment particles with a barrier material. The barrier material contains photopolymerizable monomers, oligomers, etc. The pigment compsn. is mixed with photopolymerizable monomers, oligomers or a polymer binder in an amt. enough to produce a uniform photopolymerizable compsn., a photoinitiator having an enough photochemical effect is an enough amt. for photopolymn. of the barrier material, photopolymerizable monomers, oligomers and the polymer binder when exposed to radiation, and a diazonium compd. in an enough amt. to produce a photosensitive compsn. Then, a photopolymerizable compsn. is produced under such conditions that the coating film on the pigment particles can be prevented from peeling off due to the barrier material.
