Title:
PHOTORECEPTOR PROTECTING SHUTTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07104566
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a substance generated by electrostatic charging from being shifted to the photoreceptor to prevent the deterioration of a photoreceptor and image flowing from occurring because by shielding space between an electro static charger and a photoreceptor by a semiconductive film electrostatically stuck on the surface of the photoreceptor when copying operation is stopped.

CONSTITUTION: When the copying operation is stopped, the surface of the photoreceptor 3 under the electrostatic charger 2 is covered with the semiconductive film 1 supported by shutter supporting bars 5 and 6 in a shutter case 4 in a state where the film 1 is pulled out from the shutter case 4, so that the photoreceptor 3 is protected from the substance generated by electrostatic charging. The semiconductive film is obtained by incorporating 5-20wt.% carbon in 'Teflon(R)', polyimide, polyethylene, and polyester, etc. By using such a semiconductive film, the electrostatically stuck film is smoothly housed in the protecting shutter without malfunction in the case of housing the film, and the abnormal rotation of the photoreceptor 3 is not caused even when the malfunction occurs in the case of housing the film.
