To provide a photosensitive resin composition which cures with high sensitivity upon exposure and can form a high-definition image, a color filter which uses the photosensitive resin composition, suppresses image distortion and variation of the cell thickness of a liquid crystal due to exposure, hardly causes uneven display, allows high-speed response of display, and can form a high-quality image, a method for producing the color filter, and a liquid crystal display device which adopts the color filter, excels in response, and can form a high-quality image.
The photosensitive resin composition for a liquid crystal display device contains (A) a binder, (B) an ethylenically unsaturated compound, (C) a photopolymerization initiator containing a hexaarylbiimidazole compound and (D) a spectral sensitizer, and it is used in an exposure system by which a two-dimensional image is formed by performing relative scanning while modulating light based on image data with a two-dimensionally set spatial light modulating device, wherein the light is light of a light source of which the wavelength is in a range of 350-420 nm.
