Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a picture editing with high quality without drop-out of a boundary line or the occurrence of an unedited area in the vicinity of the boundary area by subjecting all of the inside of a close area on a document to picture editing.
CONSTITUTION: Picture processing information obtained by auxiliary scanning of the document is written in a bit map memory 10 with first data by a plotter 9, and the closed area including a point designated by a user on this bit map memory 10 is painted out with second data. Thereafter, third data is written in dots adjacent to the periphery of second data. Contents of the bit map memory 10 are read out synchronously with read of the document picture due to main scanning, and the document picture is processed. At this time, the document picture is edited in the area indicated by second data in accordance with the editing classification designated by the user, and the area indicated by third data is subjected to editing suitable for the boundary area because it is the boundary area between the area to be edited and the boundary line indicating the close area of the document.
