Title:
PICTURE PROCESSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3243281
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To process a two-dimensional picture, which is changed in a short time, at a high speed in such time that it can be practically used by using an array of fuzzy elements each of which corresponds to a picture element in a two-dimensional picture space and determining values of individual picture elements by the fuzzy inference.
CONSTITUTION: When the number of tomographic data required for inference is stored in a memory 3, a preprocessing part 4 generates a signal for inference processing from these data, and a distributor 5 distributes this signal by the number of features to be extracted. The same number of fuzzy element blocks 6 as tomograms to be simultaneously processed or features to be extracted are provided, and plural fuzzy elements in one fuzzy element block 6 correspond to individual pixels of a pixel array covering the tomogram assigned to this block. Each fuzzy element infers the output value of the corresponding pixel based on a rule and a membership function set to this element itself, and fuzzy elements in one block 6 are simultaneously operated in parallel.
