Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain the storage of a large quantity of picture information by storing the basic picture information in a storage device after compression and reading out this picture information as necessary for expansion. CONSTITUTION:The basic picture designated by a mouse 25 is extracted out of an editing memory 11 in the form of basic picture information under the control a controller 13 and supplied to a compressing circuit 15 via a data bus 9. The basic picture information compressed by the circuit 15 is stored in a parts picture memory 3. Then said picture information is read out of the memory 3 by an indication given from a keyboard 23 and turned into the information on a picture of a desired size by an enlarging/reducing circuit 19 after undergoing the expansion processing through an expanding circuit 17. This picture information is supplied to the memory 11 and displayed on a CRT display 1.
