In a digital complex device 1, a CPU 42 (Central Processing Unit) retrieves a shared folder set personal computer PC out of a plurality of personal computers PC1-PCn connected through a LAN 2 (Local Area Network) to the digital complex device 1. The name of a shared folder set to the personal computer PC and a personal computer PC is displayed on a touch panel 52. A user specifies the personal computer PC at a transmission destination for picture data and the shared folder by using the touch panel 52. The picture data are then transmitted to the shared folder of the specified personal computer PC from the digital complex device 1.
