Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the processing time by awaiting a read start command while lighting a lighting light for a prescribed time even after end of read in the case of reading plural originals consecutively. CONSTITUTION:When the consecutive lighting mode is selected by an external device, the initial position is retrieved in a direction opposite to the direction of the arrow A while the lamp 15a is being lit after end of read. When a read command is inputted for the time or within a wait time commanded by a control data, the drive is immediately started to apply reading. Moreover, when no read command is inputted during the wait time, the lamp 15a is extinguished to complete the operation.
