PURPOSE: To decrease remarkably a reading and storage time for one pattern's share by arranging plural 2-dimension sensors on a board as a read means and storing the read data of each column on a storage medium in parallel.
CONSTITUTION: In a sensor section 11 being a picture read means, three semiconductor chips 12A∼12C being a processed Si wafers are mounted on a board 12 made of aluminum, ad the 2-dimension sensors 11A∼11C are formed by patterning on the chips 12A∼12C. The sensor is driven intermittently, and the 2-dimension sensors 11A∼11C read sequentially different read regions at the same time when the sensor section 11 is at a stop. Read data are stored alternately in memories M1, M3, M5 or memories M2, M4 and M6 when the sensor section 11 is moved, the each content of the memories is read at the same time in a prescribed timing and stored on a magnetic tape.
