To provide a piezoelectric ceramic which has a wide operating temperature range, exhibits a large displacement and can be easily fired and which is also excellent from the viewpoints of pollution reduction, environment conservation and ecology.
A piezoelectric substrate 1 comprises a composition containing a perovskite-type oxide, (Na1-x-yKxLiy)(Nb1-zSbz)O3 and a tungsten bronze-type oxide M(Nb1-wSbw)2O6 (wherein M is an alkaline earth metal element). In the formula, it is preferable that (x), (y), (z) and (y) satisfy following relations: 0.1≤x≤0.9; 0<y≤0.2; 0<z<0.1 and 0≤w<0.1, and the content of the tungsten bronze-type oxide in the composition is ≤5.3 mol%. Thereby, it becomes possible to raise Curie temperature and enlarge the displacement, and further to easily fire the composition.
