Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a piezoelectric ceramic having high electromechanical coupling factor, low resonance impedance, high peak-to-valley ratio of the resonance impedance, exhibiting excellent trapping characteristics when used as a trap filter utilizing the higher harmonics of perpendicular longitudinal oscillation, keeping minus temperature coefficient of the resonance frequency over a wide compositional range, having small absolute value of the coefficient and exhibiting high stability of the resonance frequency.
CONSTITUTION: This piezoelectric ceramic is composed of a composition expressed by general formula, (1-a-b)PbxTiO3.-aBi2/3TiO3.bSrTiO3 ((x) is 0.95-1.02; (a) is 0.01-0.30; (b) is 0.10-0.35), wherein Ti is substituted with 0.5-5 atom% of Mn and 0.5-5 atom% of Nb. The ceramic is mainly used as a trap filter of a sound intermediate frequency in an intermediate frequency circuit of a signal demodulation circuit of TV.
