Abstract:
To provide a pigment compound for solar cells capable of improving the photoelectric conversion efficiency of solar cells, and to provide a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element and a dye-sensitized solar cell.
The pigment compound for solar cells is represented by formula (1), wherein X is at least one aromatic group which is symmetrical with respect to the X-R1bond axis or at least one hetero aromatic group which is symmetrical with respect to the X-R1bond axis and contains one or more hetero atoms selected from oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur; and Y1and Y2are each an electron-withdrawing group having stronger electron-withdrawing properties than X and each contain at least one acidic hydrogen capable of hydrogen bonding.
