PURPOSE: To provide a pile holder having good work efficiency and to provide a construction method for a joint pile using a pile holder.

CONSTITUTION: A pile holder is so constructed that a first locking member 3 for holding a pile 41, a second locking member 4 fitted to a hoisting tool 42, and a third locking member 5 fitted to a mooring tool 45 disposed near a burying hole 43 for a pile are provided on a holder main body 2. A construction method for a joint pile adopts a pile holder having first, second and third locking members 3, 4, 5. The second locking member 4 is fitted to a hoisting tool 42, and the first locking member 3 is fitted to the pile 41, whereby the pile 41 is conveyed and settled in the already excavated burying hole 43. The third locking member 5 is fitted to the mooring tool 45 disposed near the burying hole 43, and the first locking member 3 is removed from the hoisting tool 42 to perform a holding work for the pile 41.
