To reduce the complexity of a structure of a pillar A and a roof rail to reduce a manufacturing cost and a weight of an automobile and to maintain the functional property required for absorbing a shock and storing a weather strip.
This invention relates to beams 2, 22 used as the pillar A (21) and the roof rail 1 for the vehicle and composed of a closed thin and long element having a different shape and constituting recessed parts 3, 23 storing the weather strips 4, 24 and extending in the longitudinal direction. The recessed part 3, 23 have bases 14, 34, internal walls 15, 35, and external walls 16, 36. The weather strips 4, 24 are attached to the beams 3, 23. The weather strips 4, 24 are attached to the bases 14, 34 in the recessed parts by pressure sensitive adhesive double coated tapes 17, 37 which are bonded to the weather strips in advance and are bonded to the bases in the recessed parts when they come into contact or by applying pressure.
