Title:
PISTON BRAKE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5646106
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To brake a piston without shock sound and vibration accompanying the shock by a method wherein a pressure gas is distributed to the piston from its downward side at the end of the piston stroke when allowing the piston to stand still at the end of driving stroke. CONSTITUTION:A main piston 3 quickly drops under the influence of the pressure of compressed air introducted into an upper chamber 2a, and the compressed air in the upper chamber 2a is led to a store-chamber 6 via a through hole 15 when the piston 3 has passed the air through hole 15. The compressed air introduced into the store-chamber 6 pushes down a valve piston for brake and control use resisting a compressing coil spring 13. A through hole 12 for a high pressure gas permits a high pressure gas passage 14 to come in contact with a lower chamber 2b, so that the high pressure gas is distributed as a strong back pressure to the lower chamber 2b, or the downward side of the piston 3. Thus, it is possible to prevent the piston 3 from smashing into the lower end 16 of a piston 2 and let the piston 3 stand still at the bottom dead point.
