Abstract:

To provide a piston for a shock absorber capable of reducing a necessary processing work to a minimum.

This piston is provided with a first center hole 2c penetrated the rod 4 of a piston 1 and having a larger diameter than that of the rod, a first flow passages 9a, 9b, 10 of a shock absorbing fluid, two outer ring shape members 2 having a ring shape cavity 13 positioned on the outer surface 2a, an elastic washer 14 arranged so as to cover the cave, a second center hole having the nearly same diameter as that of the rod and an intermediate ring member 3 having the second flow passages 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b arranged on one straight line with the first flow passage. As the outer ring shape member has a larger outer diameter than that of the intermediate ring shape member, a surrounding groove 5 for installing an elastic seal 6 is formed by three ring shape members.
