PURPOSE: To enable a structure and a manufacture to be simplified and achieve mass-production, etc., by coating an entire portion with an insulation film excluding a connection portion between a liquid-junction portion between an operation electrode and a comparison electrode with hydrogen ion selectivity and a connection portion between the working electrode and the comparison electrode.
CONSTITUTION: A working electrode 2 is formed on an insulation electrode supporting substrate 1 and is constituted by forming an enzyme film on a thin- film shaped metal with hydrogen ion selectivity. A comparison electrode 3 of a thin-film metal allows an internal liquid to be dipped into the substrate 1 and is formed on the substrate 1 so that it contacts this internal liquid. An entire portion is coated with an insulation film excluding a sensitive portion of the electrode 2, a liquid-junction portion of the electrode 3, and a connection portion of the electrodes 2 and 3, thus enabling the structure and manufacture to be extremely simple, achieving compactness, low cost, and mass-production, prevent scattering between electrodes regarding the characteristics and shape, and achieve disposal at a low price.
