Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable the growth of a plant on a sandy place, desert or dried land by allowing a plant to absorb water retained in a mat.
CONSTITUTION: A water-impermeable biodegradable plastic film 1 is used as the bottom layer and a water-permeable biodegradable thin film 5 is used as the top layer. A biodegradable water-absorbing material 2 is filled between the top and bottom layers and optionally a nutrient is added to the material. Seeds 3 are introduced into the biodegradable water-absorbing material 2 and the circumference of the top and bottom layers is sealed 6.
