Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To considerably increase the aperture of a cell in comparison with conventional one and to considerably reduce the number of row electrodes in comparison with a conventional case that two row electrodes of a scan electrode and a sustain electrode are provided for one cell.
SOLUTION: Opaque electrodes are arranged on transparent electrodes 101a to constitute row electrodes 101, and projection parts of transparent electrodes 101a projecting to both sides of parts, where they overlap the opaque electrodes, with a prescribed width are so arranged that the position of the array of projection parts on one side and that on the other side are shifted from each other, and column electrodes 102 are arranged in parallel in positions arranged in the column direction of these projection parts.
