Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved composite type plasmon metal nano structure for photocatalyst in which catalyst efficiency is remarkably and stably improved.SOLUTION: Provided is a photocatalyst structure including metal nanoparticles, a semiconductor photocatalyst and a material present between the metal nanoparticles and the semiconductor photocatalyst and transparent to the light of wavelength exciting the semiconductor photocatalyst. The metal nanoparticles being silver peroxide mesocrystals obtained by subjecting silver complex quantum crystals formed on copper or copper alloy nanoparticles to alkali treatment, being inexpensive and durable.
