Abstract:
To provide a new plastic lens for glasses which can be formed in a continuous process of forming a hard coating layer, an antireflection film and a thin film having water repellent property as a preventing layer against blots yellowing due to water.
A modified layer containing at least one compd. of Sn, Zr, Al, Hf, Ta and Si compds. and the refractive index changing in the thickness direction is formed on a synthetic resin substrate by a chemical vapor phase growing method using plasma. Then a hard coating layer containing Si and O and having a const. refractive index and larger thickness than the modified layer is formed thereon by a chemical vapor phase growing method using plasma.
