PURPOSE: To obtain a surveying stake prevented from the detachment of a mark cap with high production efficiency, by a method wherein the mark cap is inserted in a cylindrical mold from the rear end opening thereof and molten plastic is allowed to fill the mold from the leading end opening thereof to perform molding.

CONSTITUTION: A mark cap 16 is inserted in each cylindrical mold 1 having a cone-shaped leading end part from the rear end opening 3 thereof and molten plastic is allowed to fill the mold 1 from the leading end opening 2 thereof and both end openings 2, 3 of the mold 1 are closed. Then, the molten plastic is cooled and solidified in a cooling water tank and taken out from the mold 1 to perform molding. by this method, the cap 16 is mounted to a surveying stake 40 simultaneously with the molding of the main body of said stake and, therefore, productivity is enhanced and the cap 16 is not detached because the cap 16 is filled with the plastic. Further, because the rear surface of the stake 40 is flushed with the surface of the cap 16, said stake is not destructed at the time of striking-in even if the end part of the cap 16 is struck.
