Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing a flat plate-like crystal and an anisotropic-shape powder easily in short time by using a crystal of alkali metal niobate particle not containing potassium.
A method of manufacturing a plate-like crystal includes the steps of: producing mixed solution by adding an oxide powder with composition formula Nb2O5 having a rhombic crystal structure to an alkali hydroxide aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) having the solution concentration of 11 mol/L to 15 mol/L so that NaOH/Nb2O5 in molar ratio is 30 or more and mixing them; and hydrothermally synthesizing the mixed solution for a processing time of 0.5 hrs to 5 hrs with a temperature of mixed solution of 120°C to 160°C.
